A wind-down piece for digital painting! We were supposed to be doing revisions, but I opted for extra credit and painted a mermaid :’D. Her coloration and fin shapes are based very loosely on a kind of damselfish; the “bodice” she’s wearing is a growth similar to what’s found on ranchus; and her “hair” is a voluptuous pile of feathery fish fins!!!

This is a reason why i love 2D animation so much. Awesome!
every inch a king.
Final final finalllll. For the most part! There are more ‘silent’ panels, these are just the the couplets. Obviously it became very intense and metaphorical ( and maybe a little heavy-handed ;; ) as I went about the story, but that’s alright. I often tackle feminist issues in my things for class, but it might be a bit of a shocker seeing something so serious from me here haha. With that, I think it’s okay to just appreciate them as illustrations instead.

Ineku is a stoic guardian to smaller creatures and children in need. The creature’s coat has a soft, papery texture, unlike that of any creature discovered to date. Historically considered a symbol of good fortune, Ineku’s presence also induces evolution in some creatures.

alright this is definitely an improvement. actually looks like Ruth this time
still gotta work out her backstory and timeline and fitting it into WoW’s timeline
I’ve never thought of her as anything older than 25 because of how brazen she is, but at this point I’m probably going to be playing a 30-something Ruth. I dunno. I’ll see what I can get away with.
